OVERVIEW:
This description is intended to outline the primary responsibilities, general nature and level of work being performed by teammates assigned to this position. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and competencies of the Help Desk Coordinator. The incumbent may be assigned other duties and responsibilities.
JOB SUMMARY:
Provide support to all stores on all IT systems. Serves as a model for customer service and other vital behaviors, and instills this value in all teammates. Creates an environment for continual learning and encourages an open dialogue among teammates. Provides leadership and motivation within the Corporate office to promote a culture reflective of Lowe's guiding principles, core values, and vision.
JOB RELATIONSHIPS:
Responsible To: IT Director
Teammates Supervised: None
Inter-Relationships: Frequent contact with all teammates, customers, corporate office and vendors. Occasional contact with teammates from other locations.
JOB DUTIES:
- Support all software / hardware problems on client computers.
- Troubleshoot and identify problems and research solutions.
- Help correct all printing / printer problems.
- Help correct phone problems.
- Help with in-store inventory applications.
- Help correct DSD receiving application problems to include: DSD receiving software, mobile scanning devices, printers, document scanners.
- Help correct mobile computing problems.
- Help correct POS and register problems to include: register software and hardware, reporting, sales processing, account and security management, promotions, electronic payments, pricing, software updates.
- Help correct pricing system problems to include: pricing software, price batches, shelf auditing, missing records or batches, sign and tag printing, reporting, printers and scanning devices.
- Support server software / hardware.
- Perform regular backups of data.
- Research products.
- Must be able to perform other duties.
- Adhere to all compliance of company policies, programs, procedures and guidelines.
- Works with teammates to identify the root causes of issues and inefficiencies.
- Constantly interacts with teammates to ensure that all teammates understands Lowe's expectations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Training and Experience: High School diploma required. IT Fundamentals certification or equivalent experience, A or greater preferred.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Possess good customer relations skills. Must have good communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand the English language. Computer literate in Microsoft Office, computer, networking, fax, printer and all general office machines. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Windows 7/8/10, MacOS, Linux, IOS, Android. Ability to learn other software programs. Strong typing skills and 10 key entry. Must be self motivated and work under limited supervision.
Licenses, Registration and Certification: None.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Works in a well lit, well ventilated area. Subject to communicable disease.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work- exerting 50-70 pounds of force occasionally, 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must posses good audio, visual and hearing acuity. Requires walking and/ or standing up to a significant degree. Subject to psychological stress.
