  • Job Summary:

As a Budtender in our cannabis dispensary, you will be the face of our brand, assisting customers in their product selection and educating them about various cannabis brands & strains, consumption methods, and benefits. Your passion for cannabis and dedication to customer service will create a welcoming and informative atmosphere for both new and experienced cannabis consumers.

  • Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Product Knowledge:

Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere in the dispensary. Provide in-depth knowledge of different cannabis products, including flower, concentrates, edibles, and topicals. Offer personalized product recommendations based on customers' needs, preferences, and experience levels.

Sales and Upselling:

Engage customers in a consultative manner to understand their preferences and intentions for cannabis use. Upsell products to increase sales and showcase new and featured items. Work towards achieving sales targets and contributing to the dispensary's success.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure strict adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations governing cannabis sales and consumption. Verify customers' age and identification to maintain compliance with age restrictions. Promote responsible cannabis consumption and educate customers on dosage and safe use.

Cash Handling and Point-of-Sale (POS) Operations:

Accurately process sales transactions using the dispensary's POS system. Handle cash and credit card transactions responsibly, maintaining accuracy and security.

Product Display and Merchandising:

Assist in organizing and maintaining a visually appealing product display. Monitor stock levels and communicate with the Inventory Manager to restock products as needed.

Customer Education:

Educate customers on the properties and effects of different cannabis strains and products. Provide guidance on proper consumption methods and potential benefits.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with fellow Budtenders and dispensary staff to create a cohesive and customer-centric environment.

Share product knowledge and best practices with colleagues to enhance overall customer experience.

  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (some college education preferred).
  • Previous experience as a Budtender or in customer-facing roles is an advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling and POS operations.
  • Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements related to cannabis sales.
  • Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This employee is required to stand, walk, use hands or feet, reach with hands and arms and may be required to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Employees may perform other duties and tasks as assigned, and other related duties as needed to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
