Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining financial records. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software to support our financial operations effectively.
Duties
- Process and verify accounts payables, such as invoices, recurring expenses/payments and other transactions.
- Initiate correct employee payroll deductions.
- Prepare the payroll federal and state tax payables.
- Prepare budget/financial reports.
- Provide support to auditors.
- Identify and correct procedural problems revealed in annual audit.
- Balance and reconcile accounting records, such as journals, bank statements, payroll documents, and financial budget reports.
- Record and correct journal entries.
- Work accurately in QuickBooks.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Experience
- An Associate's Degree in Accounting is preferred.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks a must.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite applications necessary.
- Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in accounting principles, including debits and credits, is essential.
- At least one year's experience in Accounting and one year's experience with Accounts Payable.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are critical for success in this role.
