The part time Digital Communications Specialist will actively support Loyola Academy’s mission by executing online content and digital communication for the Loyola Academy community, including current, past and prospective students and families; friends and constituents of the school; as well as faculty and staff.

HOURS:
Approximately 20 hours per week
Flexible weekly schedule
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in communications, marketing, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in customer service, communications and/or fundraising environment
Familiarity with the mission and values of Catholic education preferred
Loyola Academy graduate or graduate of another Jesuit secondary school or university is a plus.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS:
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, imagination and enthusiasm
Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows; Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); and Google Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets)
Demonstrate a strong knowledge of proper compositional practices to aid in writing and proofreading. Attention to accuracy and grammar.
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Raiser’s Edge, Raiser’s Edge NXT, website design and content management systems, HTML and CSS, iMovie or video creation, Blackbaud K-12 Schools preferred
Knowledge of email best practices and procedures preferred
Knowledge of website design and content management systems, HTML and CSS preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, imagination and enthusiasm
Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and work within deadlines
Ability to work independently when necessary while always contributing to the efforts of the overall team
Must successfully complete a background check and Virtus training before employment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
Responsible for creation of digital correspondence: creates content for emails, including weekly parent and faculty correspondence, monthly alumni correspondence and alumni memorials, as required
Designs web forms (including donation forms, event registration forms)
Assists with writing content for web stories
Generates and analyze website, email and social media metrics
Manages online school calendar
Ensures brand consistency in all efforts
Manages digital displays (Industry Weapon)
Manage multi-media files through PhotoShelter, including managing tags and keywords of images
Manages video files on Vimeo and YouTube
Creates Flipbooks using ISSUU for online publications
Manages e-news and memorial email communications
Maintains summer athletics camp website
Provides online help for webhelp@loy.org
