The Department of Political Science and International Relations at Loyola Marymount University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position. LMU values community engagement, diversity, social justice, and inclusive pedagogy in fostering academic excellence.
The department seeks candidates who can teach undergraduate research methods courses. The ability to also offer comparative politics or international relations upper-division courses is preferred but not required.
The position is for one year (2025-2026) and has a 3-3 teaching load for the academic year (three courses in the fall and three courses in the spring).
We seek a dedicated teacher-scholar with demonstrated or the potential of teaching excellence. We strongly encourage women, minorities, and individuals from underrepresented groups to apply. A Ph.D. in political science is required at the time of appointment.
