What are the responsibilities and job description for the Workday Finance Systems Manager position at Loyola Marymount University?
Oversee the maintenance of optimization of the financial management systems utilized at LMU, including Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning systems. Manage the day-to-day operations and overall support of LMU’s financial applications including business process changes, financial reporting, and production application issues. Serve as the primary Workday Financial information systems subject matter expert to inform user change requests and offer user support. Be responsible for the success of the Finance division initiatives through specification, maintenance, and administration of the financial information systems and applications. Evaluate LMU’s financial management systems and make recommendations for changes in procedures, operating systems, and other financial control functions. Utilize knowledge of Workday Financials architecture and expertise in in financial systems and reporting requirements to optimize the current platform and explore additional opportunities for continual business process improvements throughout the university. Provide day-to-day support and strategic improvements to the university’s financial systems, working collaboratively with functional business owners, Information Technology Services (ITS), and end users. Gather and analyze LMU’s financial reporting and analysis requirements and configuring Workday financial systems to meet those needs. Serve as primary liaison with LMU’s ITS department and functional owners on all information technology concerns including system project activities, support tickets, data use, data integrity, finance data security, and issue resolution within LMU’s financial systems. Test and troubleshot of all present and future Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, including testing for system upgrades and / or patches
Requisite Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related degree plus three (3) years of financial systems, business analysis, or related experience : working with Workday Financials and Workday architecture; designing, developing, configuring, and testing Workday Reports; supporting automation and processes in finance through Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; building custom reporting structures within Workday Tenants; utilizing automated accounting systems and general accounting principles; preparing budget reports; utilizing data visualization tools, such as Discovery Boards. Telecommuting is permissible up to three (3) days per week.
Reasonable Expected Salary - $136,000 / yr. Salary offer commensurate with education and experience.
