Key Responsibilities
- Provides psychiatric and substance use assessments, crisis intervention, and consultation to emergency department and medical floor patients.
- Responds to behavioral health crises in person and via telephone.
- Determines appropriate level of care through assessment process.
- Facilitates admissions to psychiatric treatment or provides outpatient referrals when indicated.
- Completes eligibility/benefit verifications and insurance pre-authorizations.
