Duties and Responsibilities
- Tactical and Operational Planning : Contribute to short-term and long-term IT strategy by offering expertise which supports the organization's business goals and objectives.
- Technical Expertise : Conduct in-depth analyses of performance, systems architecture, and data trends to support decision-making processes. Develop solutions that align with the University's academic, administrative, and research needs.
- Innovation and Emerging Technologies : Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies. Assist in evaluating their potential impact on the organization and recommending strategic investments.
- Budgeting and Cost Control : Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to influence budget allocations for projects and upgrades. Evaluate Vendor proposals to ensure cost-effective solutions that meet institutional goals.
- Compliance and Risk Management : Ensure the organization's IT systems comply with relevant regulations and standards, managing risks associated with technology use.
- Collaboration and Communication : Establish and maintain relationships within IT and Campus Partners to ensure the delivery of quality services.
- Network Infrastructure Management : Design, implement, and maintain the University's network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and scalability. Manage and monitor switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points across campus facilities.
- Security : Implement and maintain network security protocols to protect University data and systems against unauthorized access, malware, and cyber threats.
- User Support : Provide technical support to Faculty, Staff, and Students, resolving network-related issues efficiently.
- Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, policies, procedures, and incident reports. Generate regular reports on network performance, security posture, and compliance status for internal and regulatory purposes.
