The Import Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and management of import activities within an organization. This includes the development and implementation of import policies and procedures, as well as the management of import documentation and shipments. The import coordinator also works closely with other departments within the organization to ensure that all import activities are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilitie s :
- Develop and implement import policies and procedures.
- Manage import documentation and shipments
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
- Negotiate import contracts and rates
- Track and monitor import shipments
- Resolve import issues and problems
- Maintain import records and reports
- Provide customer service to import customers
- Other duties as assigned
