Privacy Analyst

Job Overview:

The LPL Privacy, Cybersecurity and Technology (PCT) team is looking for a committed team player to join us as a Privacy Analyst within the broader Legal and Government Relations (LGR) department. The Privacy Analyst position will report to the Senior Vice President, Associate General Counsel & Chief Privacy Officer.

The Privacy Analyst should have demonstrated experience successfully working on multidisciplinary and interdepartmental projects, investigating and responding to inquiries and requests, and the ability to provide excellent customer service skills. The Privacy Analyst will be expected to leverage their expertise to work independently and collaboratively as part of the PCT team to provide support various aspects of the firm’s privacy and cybersecurity programs. The Privacy Analyst will also support internal clients on a range of matters and projects relating to the firm’s processing of data, as well as the responsible and secure use of technology.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate and respond to privacy inquiries from internal and external sources, and handle all communications in a professional, timely, customer service-focused manner.

• Investigate security incidents independently and in partnership with other teams (IT, Financial Investigations, Legal, etc.), and as necessary, communicate with advisors and investors about reported and confirmed incidents.

• Demonstrate knowledge of privacy requirements and leading practices and understand how they apply to business practices and projects.

• Distill complex issues into clear, easy to understand recommendations.

• Successfully navigate quickly changing priorities, ambiguity, and the unexpected with a positive attitude, and calm demeanor.

• Support the department in connection with regulatory matters and the firm’s privacy-related policies.

• Escalate issues to both home office employees and advisors, as necessary

• Perform general administrative duties to support the PCT team.

Requirements:

• 1 years of experience and a working with an understanding of privacy principles with insights and experience across other disciplines

• Experience receiving, investigating, and responding to customer inquiries and requests

• Ability to handle client and advisor communications in a professional and courteous manner

• Strong project management skills

Preferences:

• Strong computer skills with working proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• High level of personal integrity and discretion

• Proven analytical and organizational skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Strong collaborative skills, and ability to work closely with other privacy team members

• Knowledge of state and federal privacy laws

• Experience working in financial services

• Bachelor’s degree

Pay Range:

$69,525-$115,875/year Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
