Job Overview:
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Annuities Product Management is the business owner for the annuity and insurance product end-to-end experience. This leader collaborates with the immediate team and stakeholders to create, deliver, and manage solutions for investors and advisors. The SVP is responsible for evaluating investor needs and advisor demands to explore, evaluate, and build new solutions, platforms, and tools to support our advisors. Additionally, the SVP oversees revenue stewardship and expansion of the annuity product line, developing and managing the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement to ensure the product line is managed as a business with clear financial goals and accountability
In this role, the SVP will develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and innovation within the annuity product line. They will gather and incorporate feedback from investors and advisors to continuously improve products and services and navigate through regulatory changes and findings to ensure compliance and adapt strategies as needed. The SVP will lead, develop, coach, and retain top talent to ensure the best experience and excellent outcomes. Acting as the hub for supporting business units across the firm, the SVP will deliver a competitive set of investment solutions by managing product offerings, pricing, advisor experience, communications, and purchase experience.
The SVP will also manage and lead the due diligence and onboarding of products, ensuring advisors have access to a robust, competitive lineup that meets the firm’s due diligence requirements. Furthermore, they will oversee ongoing, post-conversion relationships with M&A client leadership teams, addressing their evolving needs as they become existing clients. The day-to-day life of a business owner in this role is fast-paced, ever-changing, and full of opportunities to learn. Candidates must be able to work with numerous business units across the firm and learn about all aspects of our products.
Responsibilities:
Manage, lead, and develop a team of analysts, AVPs, and VPs who each are subject matter experts within their specific field
Develop annuity product line strategy and procure resources to support execution plan
Support efforts focused on research and evaluation of current annuity and insurance business experiences for prospective clients and signed clients to identify gaps when compared to LPL experiences
Support analysis and evaluation of business processes and procedures performance; identify key performance indicators and growth goals and execute against them
Manage the onboarding and launch of new insurance carriers and products by partnering closely with operations and technology partners
Lead efforts to deliver a positive advisor experience when submitting annuity and insurance business with LPL
Lead evaluation, research and when appropriate, pricing, compensation, policy and procedure modifications across business units
Develop and manage the Annuity P&L to assess financial performance, set goals, develop action plans, and track progress
Support firm efforts to maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements
Oversee and ensure top notch execution of sponsor related agreements
Manage advisor escalations involving insurance carrier business management issues
Oversee and manage insurance carrier partner relationships as well as third party annuity and insurance technology vendor relationships
Oversee the development and maintenance of annuity and insurance focused content, tools and resources available to advisors and internal terms, supporting their sales practices, product research and staying informed about products and features
Collaborate across multiple functions and channels, building effective business partnerships and relationships amongst teams across the firm
Present new insurance and annuity products and product changes to Product Review Committee as part of the due diligence process; manage timely onboarding of approved products and changes to products
Lead the creation and coordination of insurance and annuity product specific communications for firm initiatives product/ contract changes

This position is based in either San Diego, CA or Fort Mill, SC. This position reports to EVP, Investment Management Solution

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
10 years of professional experience in the annuity and insurance, financial services/brokerage industry
5 years of successfully leading people and teams
Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to actively listen, problem solve, collaborate and work effectively with business partners across the entire organization as well as directly with partners and executives at carriers
Preferences:
MBA degree
FINRA series 6, 7, 24, or 65
Proven strategic capabilities to help inform, shape, and drive product management focus and strategy for annuities
Strong experience working in an agile framework / product organization
Strong knowledge of annuity and insurance business lines
Demonstrated knowledge of LPL platform, products and services

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
