LPL is looking to expand the leadership for Insurance through the addition of an SVP, Head of Revenue Optimization, whose primary objective will be to grow the Insurance business at LPL by ensuring that LPL advisors are able to successfully meet the Insurance needs of their clients due to the support they receive in the field and the quality of engagement they receive from carrier partners, leading to outsized economic results for the business unit.

The SVP of Revenue Optimization will be charged with transforming how we measure and manage the Insurance business, starting with 1) developing an end-to-end view of the sales cycle and sales pipeline, with a focus on attribution of leads and minimizing leakage, 2) identifying what drives the Insurance purchase cycle and working with data and tech teams to optimize proactive lead management, in conjunction with other business unit partners 3) partnering with Sponsor Relations and other LPL partners to optimize carrier revenue terms, leveraging industry benchmarking and LPL production data to negotiate the best terms possible for LPLIA, 4) lead the external and internal sales teams, including goal setting, incentive compensation plan development, coaching teams and acting as a player-coach with complex client opportunities

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. Responsibilities:
- Develop the awareness and distribution strategies for Insurance at LPL, including the structure of the sales organization and approaches to engaging with LPL advisors
- Build and maintain relationships with our carrier partners and develop execution plans in partnership, as well as negotiating carrier compensation rates
- Lead and engage a sales team of 20
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to the insurance sales team to drive growth for the agency
- Develop a data-driven approach for tracking and managing a sales pipeline to facilitate accountability for goals and activity management at the employee level
- Develop and manage relationships with key institutional partners of LPL
- Develop and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders who can help drive leads to LPLIA
- Represent the LPLIA sales team within the broader Wealth Management and LPL Sales organization
- Maintain staffing levels and service level agreements to manage the workflow and activity
- Oversee pilots within the organization to learn how we can best support advisors for the future (e.g., alternative go-to-market approaches for institutions)
- Participate on the LPL Insurance Associates management team to lead the strategic direction of our insurance business
- Experience leading sales organizations in the Life Insurance industry; preferably within an agency
- Experience driving data flow and capture to optimize sales processes
- Ability to share a strong vision, create followership, and a passion for developing talent
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience in the life insurance industry
- Required licenses: FINRA Series 6 and/or 7, and a state life/health license (or if lapsed, ability to gain within 90 days of onboarding)
- Strong customer focus, excellent verbal and written communication skills, a strong work ethic, and extremely organized
- Industry designations: Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and/or Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
- Relationships with leadership at top carriers in third-party distribution, preferred
- Experience working with financial advisors
