Job Overview:

LPL is looking for candidates that are adept at building visions and connecting these visions to execution. In this role, you will drive forward critical firm-wide initiatives, help the business prioritize and advance LPL’s wealth management capabilities, and play a key role in shaping the future of the organization.

To do so, the individual must have outstanding strategic thinking, presentation, and analytical skills. The successful candidate has illustrated strong business acumen and can quickly understand the most critical elements and nuances of any business area. Experience with consulting firms, executive facilitation, and solving unstructured problems in an iterative, hypothesis-driven way are pluses.

Responsibilities:

  • Support development of the firm's wealth management strategy and help drive towards desired outcomes
  • Conduct research and understand the competitive landscape to inform and influence strategic and operational decisions by business leaders
  • Lead projects, develop recommendations, create business cases, and help business leaders identify the best path forward
  • Partner with teams to explore new opportunities, execute key strategic initiatives, and manage regulatory changes. Guide the analysis of internal and external data to bolster the strategic point of view
  • Establish a collaborative environment at all levels of the organization to improve input into the strategy development process and ensure better alignment by communicating strategic decisions and outcomes
  • Manage and nurture the team to develop leading strategy talent
  • Support key operational activities and oversee deliverables in support of business management and operations that span across the entire wealth management organization, such as strategic planning, Board of Directors meetings, and executive updates

Requirements:

  • 7 years of experience in strategy areas, developing strategic narratives & positionings, such as: corporate strategy, internal or management consulting, innovation and new ventures, product strategy & development
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate business opportunities within the context of a larger organization and its objectives
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to create concise content for C-suite leadership / Board of Directors, and the ability to frame complex issues visually
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with different business stakeholders to drive results
  • Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills. Comfort operating within ambiguous situations without clear guidance or approach


Preferences:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into insights, decisions, and actions
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Project management / multi-tasking skills across different projects
  • Results oriented and outcome-based
  • Financial services experience and/or Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree


Pay Range:

$155,300-$258,800/year

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
