Job Summary :
We are seeking a talented and passionate Banquet Chef to join our culinary team. The Banquet Chef will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of high-quality food for large events, such as weddings, corporate meetings, and special functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banquet or event catering, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and service.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals for banquets, special events, and large gatherings.
- Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely and efficient manner, meeting the event's specifications and dietary requirements.
- Lead, train, and manage the banquet kitchen staff, ensuring all team members are working effectively and efficiently.
- Collaborate with event planners and management to understand event details, including menu requirements, guest counts, and dietary preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with the purchasing team to order supplies and ingredients as needed for upcoming events.
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet the standards of the company and client expectations.
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during banquet service, ensuring a smooth and successful event.
- Assist with menu planning and development for banquet events, offering creative ideas and solutions to suit the event's theme or client's preferences.
- Manage kitchen operations during large-scale events, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and service.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
