Pool Concierge

The Pool Concierge at Palm House plays a vital role in providing exceptional guest service by delivering attentive, friendly, and professional assistance to guests at the poolside. This position involves welcoming guests, offering food and beverage recommendations, taking orders, and ensuring a smooth, efficient service. A Pool Concierge must possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multitasking. This position requires a friendly, approachable demeanor and a focus on customer satisfaction.

• Guest Interaction:

  • Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly welcome.
  • Provide detailed information on food and beverage options, including daily specials and recommendations.
  • Address any guest inquiries and ensure that all service needs are met promptly.

• Order Taking & Service:

  • Accurately take food and drink orders from guests.
  • Relay orders to the kitchen and bar and ensure modifications or special requests are communicated clearly.
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently, checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction.

• Menu Knowledge:

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage pairings.
  • Make knowledgeable recommendations to guests based on their preferences.

• Poolside Management:

  • Set up and clear the poolside area, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for incoming guests.
  • Maintain a clean and organized poolside environment throughout the shift.

• Check Handling:

  • Present guest checks, process payments, and handle all transactions accurately.
  • Ensure all financial exchanges are conducted responsibly.

• Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless, efficient service.
  • Assist in other tasks as required to maintain a well-functioning poolside service operation.

• Compliance and Safety:

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, reporting any accidents or unsafe conditions to a manager.

• Prior experience in a server or hospitality role is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive, professional attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is a plus.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Adhere to all safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to management.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and professional uniform and personal appearance at all times.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs promptly.
• Engage with guests and staff using clear and professional language.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members to achieve common goals.
• Ensure quality standards and expectations are met.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Perform duties in various environmental conditions.
• Stand or walk for extended periods and complete tasks requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the poolside area for long periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds, including chairs, tables, trays, towels and poolside equipment.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead to perform various tasks such as setting up poolside areas and clearing tables.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and endure varying weather conditions such as heat and humidity.
• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting during shifts.
• Ability to maneuver through crowded and narrow spaces.

• Ability to obtain any required government licenses or certifications.

• All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
