What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Specialist position at LRS Brand?
What will I do:
The Human Resource Specialist performs duties at the professional level in the following functional areas: employee onboarding, external employee relations, and HR administration. This role requires a proactive problem solver with strong communication skills, a solid understanding of HR best practices, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. The Specialist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill, and the business needs.
Day in the Life:
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries
- Assist with external employee relations practices necessary to establish positive employer-employee relationships and to promote a high level of employee engagement
- Present company information and applicable policies during the new hire orientation process
- Assist in maintaining and implementing new and existing programs in the survey software
- Assist with the development of human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information, recommending courses of action
- Partner with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and other government regulations
- Ensure collection of required personnel file documents for all external and internal employees
- Maintain human resource information system records and compile reports from the database
- Continuous upkeep of unemployment claims and audits
- Process administrative employment-related activities within timeframe standards while ensuring policy and procedure compliance, proper documentation approvals, and accuracy of human resource system entries
- Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor/manager in discussing matters of importance
- Respond to emails from our employees during non-business hours as needed
Who Am I:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Marketing, or other business applicable field preferred
- 2 years of related job experience preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates attention to detail
- Prompt and regular attendance
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks at once in this deadline driven area. Good communication and organizational skills are a must as well as providing the highest level of customer service.
- Experience with administering and processing onboarding paperwork preferred.
My Team:
- This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.
