Job Summary
We are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our company, providing administrative support and ensuring excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
As a Dental Front Desk Receptionist, you will be responsible for scheduling appointments, collecting payments at the time of service, verifying insurance coverage, answering patient inquiries, and assisting with treatment planning. Working closely with the Office Manager, you will play a vital role in fostering a patient-centered, collaborative culture within our practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience.
- Assist patients with understanding and presenting treatment plans.
- Educate patients about their insurance benefits and offer payment solutions, including third-party financing.
- Schedule appointments based on clinical needs.
- Collect copayments and confirm insurance coverage.
- Confirm and reschedule appointments as necessary.
- Follow up with patients regarding missed, canceled, or upcoming appointments.
Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in a dental front desk role preferred.
- Familiarity with Opendental is a plus.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
- A positive, collaborative attitude and strong communication skills with both team members and patients.
- Understanding and adherence to HIPAA and the HITECH Act of 2009.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
