What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Biologists (Botany Focused) position at LSA Associates INC?
LSA is seeking to hire qualified project biologists with a botany emphasis to provide botanical field survey services for projects in the Southern California, Bay Area, and Central Sierra foothill regions. Experience with botanical surveys in one or more of these regions, is especially important. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience with botanical field surveys and biological resource assessments, including focused field surveys for special-status, state, and federally listed plant species. They will also have a strong desire to learn and grow their career.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree or higher in natural or physical sciences is required. A strong work ethic, good writing and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and the desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are vital. This position is primarily a field work position, sometimes under strenuous and adverse weather conditions. Some office work will be required. Use of a personal vehicle is required (with mileage reimbursement). Candidates applying for this position must agree to abide by LSA’s driving policy for use of company and personal vehicles, which will be verified. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $25 to $45 per year. The compensation offer will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
