What are the responsibilities and job description for the Post Trade Summer Internship 2024 position at LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group)?

Our Business Summer Internship Programme has been crafted to simulate our Business Associate Programme so that you can understand what a career with LSEG would really be like.
You must be a junior year student due to complete all the requirements of your course in 2025 (before September). You should have a predicted GPA 3.0 or equivalent in any subject area.
During your time with us, you will have the opportunity to explore potential career paths by working in the Post Trade division.
We will also support you in discovering more about the different areas of LSEG by connecting you with the relevant departments so that you can learn more about them. All the while you will apply your new skills to real-world business challenges.
These are real roles. Our 9 weeks summer interns play a part in the success of our organisation, just like they would do as an Associate.

You should have an interest in financial markets, which you've built through your studies, work experience or extracurricular activities.
A curiosity for data and an ability to analyse information to draw conclusions and propose solutions.
The environment we work in is fast paced, you'll need to demonstrate focus, resilience and the flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
People who can collaborate with others, using their strong communication skills in the process.
You will stand out to us if you can demonstrate and recognise that what you achieve is equally important to how you achieve it.

Recruitment Process:
The first stage of the recruitment process involves a review of your CV and motivational statement.
Should you pass the initial screening stage, we will invite you to complete an online assessment to help identify the skills and behaviours you'll bring to the role. It includes some questions on how you would describe yourself, how you typically approach tasks, and a short cognitive ability test.
The next step is a video interview where we geta deeper understanding of your motivations for the role as well as some of our key competencies.
The final stage is an assessment centre which involves a number of different types of exercises. Further information is provided at the point of invite.
Successful students will join us for 9 weeks, starting June 2024. A tailored 1-week inductions will set you up for success, before joining your team.

Compensation/Benefits Information (New York City applicants only):
LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $43,900 - $81,500.Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Variable Incentive Compensation plan. Target variable compensation will be commensurate with the posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
