Role Purpose Statement
We are looking for an experienced and visionary General Manager to lead our LSG Sky Chefs operation, overseeing a team of 600 employees. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction across all aspects of airline catering services. You will lead and inspire a large, diverse team, streamline processes, and build strong relationships with airline partners to deliver world-class catering solutions. Your strategic oversight and leadership will play a crucial role in enhancing efficiency, profitability, and operational performance, making a tangible impact on our business success. This position is fully on-site located at our facility in 3100 E 73rd St, Minneapolis, MN 55450.
Main Accountabilities
Business Strategy, Policies and Tools
- Contribute to the definition of the CSC / regional strategy
- Develop and execute the implementation of the CSC strategy
- Ensure compliance with the policies provided by regions and Corporate
Managing Business
Ensure the development of an annual business plan and budgeting for the CSC based on the regional specific objectives and strategy in coordination with the relevant interfacesEnsure the development and implementation of short- and mid-term planning on products and services in coordination with Sales & Services and other relevant interfaces. Ensure efficient and timely corrective actions in case of significant deviationsOversee the CSC’s economic and operating performance. Ensure that the CSC is managed and controlled efficiently in line with the company’s framework and market requirements. Lead the CSC to achieve the budget targets and initiate corrective actions if necessaryEnsure optimal deployment of human, technical, financial and material resourcesEnsure that the CSC’s work methods are in line with the company standards and customer contractsInitiate capital expenditure requestsInitiate and control continuous optimization of processesEnsure the compliance with safety, health, environmental and quality guidelines provided by corporate and local regulations and customer requirementsEnsure clear communication and close co-operation with all relevant internal and external interfacesWhere applicable : ensure the procurement / purchase of all materials and services needed at the CSC in line with the company’s standardsLeadership
Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directedGuide, motivate and develop the subordinate employees within the Human Resources PolicyParticipates in coaching the expanded Global Performance System (GPS) process, as well as additional career development activities to enhance the effectiveness and potential of the teamMake the company's values and management principles live in the department(s)Plan / Implement and control the cost budget in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviationsParticipate and support company sponsored initiatives such as Global Quality Standard (GQS), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Lean Manufacturing, Employee SafetyKnowledge, Skills and Experience
