Summary : The Flight Coordinator position is an important customer-driven role of our catering operations since it interacts face-to-face with the flight crew of our airline customers to address needs, solve problems, provide solutions and ensure that our customers receive excellent customer service based on each flight's specific requirements.
You are a strong candidate for the position if you : a) Have work experience on the airfield at O'Hare airport (or any other major airport in the U.S), b) you have had or still have a SIDA badge, c) Have a valid Driver's License, d) have excellent communication & customer service skills
Job Requirements / Responsibilities
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality service in all aspects of flight.
- Ensure flight is complete and fully prepared for departure in a timely fashion.
- Ability to interface with flight crew displaying professionalism and knowledge.
- Ability to comprehend flight menus and flight galley specifications.
- Add or subtract meals for assigned flights as necessary, including special and crew meals.
- Add or subtract equipment for flights as necessary.
- Ability to understand flight boarding bills.
- Ability to conduct spec checks on finished product to ensure quality standards are met.
- Ability to effectively communicate with managers, coworkers and customer personnel.
- Detail oriented, strong teamwork and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in verbal and written English communication.

This position requires work in a variety of physical environments, including inside a holding cooler near 40°F. This position requires physical activity - walking, bending, lifting and pushing 50 lbs.
