The Food Service employees prepare the meals according to airline specifications by slicing, chopping, wrapping, assembling and packing dishes and meals and loading airline catering carts with food trays. Job Requirements / Responsibilities
- Prepare all food items according to standard recipes and production orders.
- Determine production time requirements and quantities based on food production order.
- Obtain all necessary ingredients, supplies and equipment.
- Maintain Equipment and work area in clean, safe and orderly manner according to Safe Food Handling guidelines.
- Ability to speak, read and understand English.
- Ability to perform in a high-pace, time-sensitive, work environment
- Ability to use knifes and kitchen equipment.
- Comply with all work rules and regulations; observe and follow safety and hygiene standards.
- Must be flexible and able to react to changing priorities.
- Must be able to stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during shift of 8 hours.
- Good organizational skills.
- Must be able to follow / understand customer specifications / paperwork in English.
- Ability to handle dry ice.Environmental Requirements :
- Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes (hot and cold) and noise.
- Working in a cold weather environment of approximately 40 degrees.
- This position requires employees to be active, walking, heavy lifting and pushing 50 lbs.
