We have an immediate opening for a Program Operations Lead. In this role, the Program Operations Lead with experience in General Services Administration (GSA) will provide support for our APEX Accelerator operations. This position assists Utah small businesses in navigating federal, state, and local government contracting processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of contracts, procurement, and compliance, while also assisting internal teams and clients in navigating these systems. This position involves outreach, training, and one-on-one counseling to support the growth and success of businesses in the defense and government sectors. This position is also responsible for the GSA SB support element of the LSI APEX Accelerator program, which includes training of peers in GSA support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients in registering in government systems (SAM.gov, DLA’s JCP, SBA certifications, etc.).
- Educate businesses on solicitation reviews, bid preparation, and contract management including GSA contracts, procurement, and compliance processes.
- Assist clients in navigating GSA systems and procedures.
- Manage and maintain office files, records, and documentation related to APEX and GSA contracts and general operations.
- Offer insights into regulatory compliance, cybersecurity requirements, and supply chain considerations.
- Conduct workshops, webinars, and training sessions on government contracting topics.
- Develop relationships with government agencies, prime contractors, and industry partners.
- Provide insights into emerging trends in defense and government contracting.
- Help businesses identify government contracting opportunities using procurement databases.
Required Skills and Expertise:
- Experience in GSA processes (contracts, procurement, and compliance) required.
- Experience in government acquisition, procurement, and/or contracting.
- Strong knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS), small business certifications, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to analyze government solicitations and provide strategic advice.
- Proficiency in using procurement platforms (SAM.gov, FPDS, eBuy, DIBBS, etc.).
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Successfully pass a drug and criminal background check.
