APPLICANTS FOR A FULL-TIME MATHEMATICS INSTRUCTOR
An instructor at LSMSA’s primary responsibility is to teach high-aptitude sophomores, juniors, and seniors in a small-
class setting. Teaching assignments will include introductory college-level mathematics courses as well as the possibility
of elective courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Typical teaching load is 15 contact hours per semester. In
addition to teaching, the successful candidate must be innovative, willing to guide and tutor students, and maintain a
weekly office hour schedule for interaction with students.
Applicants should be dedicated to working in an environment that is highly focused on student development and
support. Further, applicants should have a commitment to their own personal and professional development and have a
desire to be collaborative member of a department and institution.
Salary range for this 10-month position is based on applicant’s degree(s) and experience.
Start Date: August 2025
