JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Title: Serialization Engineer
Location: Rockford, IL - Assembly Drive
Department: Engineering
Shift: 1st
Reporting To: Engineering Manager
Serve as primary technical expert and principal designer/developer for all global major packaging line serialization design and integration efforts. Work closely with suppliers and internal colleagues to identify and specify complex line connectivity requirements and translate to comprehensive interface solutions specifications and delivery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Program and configure Software/Firmware/Control systems in order to achieve desired control process.
- Ensure that Operations have defined appropriate maintenance schedules all necessary software/hardware for current or newly acquired control/data systems.
- Review and develop novel designs to assist in the integration or optimized operation of packing lines.
- Support the Serialization FAT/SAT/Validation processes on a global basis.
- Commission or verify control/data systems.
- Design or create control/data systems.
- Documentation of new or existing control/data systems including, but not limited to, preliminary drawings and process proposals, operational manuals, and process and instrumentation drawings.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability and willingness to quickly learn new systems, technologies, and processes.
- Ability to work with individuals with varying degrees of system knowledge.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required up to 10% of the year.
- This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
- Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.
- Attendance to work is an essential function of this position
- Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 1-5 years related experience and/or training.
- College Level Mathematical Skills
- Advanced Computer Skills: Ability to perform the most complex computer tasks and operate various computer programs.
- Minimum Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak in a way that allows one to participate effectively in various conversations. Ability to read various types of standard items addressed to general readers.
- Very High Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in math or diagram form and deal with several abstract/concrete variables.
