Sr. Human Resources Generalist
Are you a proactive HR professional? LSPedia is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to help elevate and refine our HR function. This role offers the opportunity to grow the HR function in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Onsite Farmington Hills, Michigan (this is an onsite position at our company headquarters).
What You’ll Do:
Employee relations
- Serve as a point of contact for employee HR-related inquiries. Answer frequently asked HR-related questions, and escalate complex issues as needed. Address employee grievances and facilitate conflict resolution.
- Train managers in communications around HR issues. Help draft communications plans as needed for HR issues (e.g., promotion announcements).
- Support wellness initiatives, training programs, and special events to enhance employee engagement and promote positive morale.
Training and Development
- Identify training needs and oversee key employee career and development programs.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs. Make recommendations for improvement when necessary.
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and develop job descriptions.
- Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, background checks, and hiring.
- Conduct new employee orientations to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
Compliance
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of HR records and files.
- Ensure compliance with global, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Conduct routine audits to ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidential, timely, and accurate employee documentation and records.
- Investigate employee issues and disciplinary actions.
Compensation and Benefits
- Administer employee benefits programs (e.g., health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies).
- Support payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely payment of wages.
- Assist with the annual open enrollment process, providing clear communication and maintaining compliance.
- Participate in compensation audits and analysis, offering insights and suggestions for salary adjustments.
Performance Management
- Support managers to conduct performance reviews and set objectives. Support managers to develop their teams and provide timely, actionable, and helpful feedback.
- Review and improve our promotion processes and performance improvement plans.
- Generate HR metrics and reports; analyze the data to identify areas for improvement, trends, and other relevant insights.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior-level HR role at a global company, ideally in a high-growth SaaS setting.
- Deep knowledge of HR principles and practices. Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Strong understanding of HR metrics, as well as how to interpret and act upon the data.
- The ability to promote a positive workplace culture through communication and activities.
- Experience in a high-growth company, supporting both organic and inorganic growth initiatives.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with M&A and aligning talent after an acquisition.
- Experience with team integration and contributing to organizational chart development and team alignment following an acquisition.
