Position Summary
The Department of Medicine, Sections of Emergency Medicine and Hospital Medicine, are seeking a self-motivated individual for a Program Coordinator position to assist with implementation of two LDH-funded projects centered on Opioid Use Disorder in Louisiana. Functioning independently, incumbent will assist with and conduct qualitative interviews of key stakeholders utilizing semi-structured, rapid ethnographic sampling techniques, compiles and codifies results and prepares them for analyses. They will collaborate with student workers to perform electronic medical record chart review for the purposes of data collection and analysis. Main areas of focus within this population involve quality improvement in delivery of medical care to those with injection-related infections and the impact of hospital naloxone distribution programs on patients presenting to the emergency department following accidental opioid overdose. May provide guidance and supervision to junior level technicians for data compilation and analysis. Preference will be given to those applicants with prior experience and passion regarding Addiction Medicine.
