Description
The Clinical Business Manager is responsible for the central administration and fiscal management of the assigned departments. Typically, with the exception approved by the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Budget, the Clinical Business Manager is assigned multiple departments or budget units. The position directly coordinates or plans, guides, and evaluates the non-medical activities of the department. The incumbent will work under the Business Manager organization structure, which reports to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Business and Administration. This position assists the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Business and Administration and Department Chair within the areas of finance, grants management, budgeting, auditing, human resource management, supplemental pay, compliance with university policies, and coordination and negotiation with faculty, other departments, and University Administration. The incumbent will also assist in coordinating, developing, and administering departmental policies, practices, and procedures.
Qualifications
Applicant must meet one of the following:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field and four (4) years progressively responsible professional experience.
- Master's Degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or related field with two (2) years professional experience.
