We are hiring a Quality Control Technician at our Coos Bay, OR operation. In this role, you’ll sample and test the company’s aggregate products to ensure they meet internal quality standards and external specifications. Work will be performed in the south coast market.
Wage scale is based on certifications, experience and knowledge.
Major Job Responsibilities will include:
- Sampling and testing aggregate, asphalt, and concrete products to ensure they are within required specifications.
- Record and communicate results to designated department personnel.
- Maintain files and records of testing and inspection activity.
- Acquire and maintain DOT certifications through various training opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- CDT certification preferred but not required. We will help you get certified.
- Ability to follow testing procedures and accurately document test results.
- Experience in reading plans and specifications preferred.
- Strong math and computer skills. Statistics background helpful but not required.
- Ability to think and reason through problems.
- Ability to lift samples of up to 75 pounds repeatedly, walk on jobsites and plant locations with uneven ground and work in all weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be committed to working safely at all times.
- Capable of working a flexible schedule.
