LTSis seeking an experienced Risk Manager responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with military healthcare operations to ensure the operational readiness of military personnel. This role works closely with senior leadership to implement risk management strategies that protect health systems, personnel, and mission-critical assets while ensuring compliance with DOD regulations and maintaining the health and safety of service members.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and prioritize risks associated with military health readiness, including operational, regulatory, and health-related risks.
- Analyze health data, incidents, and operational scenarios to detect emerging risks or threats to health readiness.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and action plans to mitigate identified risks.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, military leaders, and other stakeholders to design and apply appropriate control measures.
- Ensure risk mitigation efforts align with DOD regulations and health readiness objectives.
- Generate reports on risk assessment outcomes, mitigation efforts, and compliance status for leadership review.
- Prepare and submit risk management reports for audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
- Lead and support the response to healthcare crises or incidents that may affect health readiness, including natural disasters, epidemics, or operational deployments.
- Coordinate risk response efforts to minimize disruption to health services and ensure continuity of care for service members.
- Develop and deliver risk management training to healthcare providers, military personnel, and stakeholders involved in health readiness activities.
- Educate staff on risk identification techniques, mitigation strategies, and emergency preparedness.
- Work closely with key stakeholders, including DOD officials, medical personnel, and operational leaders, to communicate risks and risk mitigation strategies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in risk management and provide guidance and recommendations to leadership on health-related risk issues.
- Drive continuous improvement in risk management practices and tools, incorporating lessons learned from past events and industry best practices.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Risk Management, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in risk management, healthcare operations, or military health systems. Experience in a DOD or military healthcare setting is highly preferred.
- Certifications such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM), or other relevant certifications preferred.
- Strong understanding of military health readiness, DOD healthcare regulations, and risk management frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with risk management software and tools.
