Responsibilities
Provide advice and support to leaders, managers, and employees on a full range of employment related matters
Work in conjunction with other HR colleagues and external consultants / advisors as necessary
Handle employee relations matters with employees and managers and participate in disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations
Coach leadership and management on how to lead and direct positive change
Act as the custodian for the performance management process
Upskill employees on effective goal setting and development planning
Develop a deep understanding of the business and contribute to the overall strategy
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal standards and reduce risks related to daily management of employees
Qualifications
7 years of HRBP experience, 6 years of progressive HR experience preferably in the insurance industry
Strong organization, interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills
Proven experience in delivering robust HR support
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Thorough knowledge of California employment-related laws and regulations
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
