Primarily responsible for assisting the System Administrator in providing the necessary technical support to enable the department’s computer network to function efficiently.

  • Assists System Administrator in all duties related to maintaining the department’s information systems, operating systems, networks, software, email, and personal computers.
  • Assists in the implementation and monitoring of system security measures such as backups, access control, system accounting, antivirus, and disaster recovery in order to maintain information system integrity and availability.
  • Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems and concerns of users. Responsible for providing effective service and resolution of computer problems to all users in person, by telephone, e-mail, and/or voice mail concerning the department's standard software and hardware.
  • Provide information and assistance to the general public and other staff members in a helpful, courteous, and timely manner.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Follows CJAD and Departmental policies.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by superiors.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: A high school diploma or GED. Must have a telephone number at which they can be reached and access to reliable transportation. A criminal history will be conducted.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:  Possess working knowledge of computers, networks, upgrades, and installation. Knowledge of programming languages and MySQL database is preferred. Ability to provide training to staff members.  Must possess the interpersonal skills necessary to maintain cooperation with judges, department heads, coworkers, other departments, agencies, and the public. Ability to work independently and efficiently. Must have a telephone number at which you can be reached and access to reliable transportation.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:  Maintain the ability to occasionally stand, walk, kneel, and bend during the course of your shift; reach, grip, and use fine dexterity; push and pull objects; occasionally flex upper trunk forward at the waist and partially at the knees; occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds; occasionally rotate upper trunk to the left or right while sitting or standing; place arms above, at or below shoulder height; use of vision and depth perception; talking and hearing. The work environment is typically indoors, in an office setting, with a moderate noise level.
