Payroll Specialist

Luby Equipment Services, is a growing, family company that recently celebrated our 50th Anniversary! We are a leading provider of Heavy Equipment, Service, Rentals and Parts in the industry. Our company has grown to three divisions, construction, power generation, and oilfield division located in Missouri, Illinois, Arkansas, and West Virginia. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, Payroll Specialist to join our growing team! Responsibilities include:

• Process payroll weekly for approximately 115 employees (hourly, weekly and salary, bi-weekly), including managing the payroll process, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time, and adhering to legal and tax regulations
• Set up new employees beginning with background/MVR checks, send out checklists/emails for new hires, verify tax forms assuring accuracy, benefit selections, and direct deposit details
• Maintain and update employee records including tracking paid time off, benefits and other relevant information
• Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure smooth on-boarding and off-boarding processes
• Verify and validate timekeeping data to ensure accuracy
• Other projects as needed by management

Requirements:

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration preferred
• Experience with UKG/Inova Products preferred (or similar HRIS)

Schedule: 3 days per week (Must be available either Tues., Weds, AND Friday -OR Friday, Monday, AND Wednesday to satisfy our payroll needs.
