Luciano’s Excavation is a family -owned excavation company based out of Taunton, MA. Luciano’s has been in business for over 11 years and has completed various multi-million-dollar projects across the New England area.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Excavation Foreman to lead and oversee all aspects of excavation operations on our job site. The Excavation Foreman will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe execution of excavation projects, adhering to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage a team of excavation personnel and equipment.

Job Duties:

· Provide effective leadership to the excavation crew, including equipment operators, laborers, and subcontractors. Supervise daily activities, delegate tasks, and ensure the team follows established safety protocols and procedures.

· Collaborate with project managers to review project plans, schedules, and specifications. Develop detailed work plans, allocate resources, and assign tasks to ensure efficient execution of excavation activities.

· Coordinate equipment mobilization, maintenance, and utilization. Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with preventive maintenance schedules.

· Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety meetings, conduct safety audits, and promote a culture of safety awareness among the excavation team.

· Oversee excavation activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards. Conduct inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.

· Monitor and manage labor, equipment, and materials to optimize efficiency and productivity. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of required resources.

· Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of daily activities, work progress, equipment usage, and other relevant project information.

Essential Skills:

· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience preferred

· Understanding of grades and how to use a laser

· Understanding of underground utilities (water, gas, sewer)

· Basic understanding of GPS systems (Topcon)

· Proven experience as an excavation foreman or similar role within the construction industry.

· Strong knowledge of excavation techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.

· Excellent leadership and team management skills.

· Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications.

· OSHA certification and other relevant safety certifications preferred.

· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

· Stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

· Comfortable working around heavy machinery and in potentially hazardous environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.33 - $32.11 per hour
