About the Role
This exciting opportunity involves developing and commercializing state-of-the-art electric vehicle inverters, DC/DC converters, and charging systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in similar roles, with expertise in structural, thermal, and electrical design. They should also possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
A successful candidate will have 6-8 years of experience in a related field, a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience, and strong 3D CAD skills, preferably with CATIA or similar software. Familiarity with automotive product validation, electric propulsion systems, and electronic control systems is also essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Create interactive designs with the vehicle packaging team and other product engineering inputs
- Optimize mechanical designs for size, weight, durability, performance, and cost
- Determine required tolerances using GD&T
- Integrate mechanical designs with high voltage electrical systems
Requirements
- 6-8 years of experience in a related field
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Strong 3D CAD skills, proficient with CATIA or similar software
- Experience in automotive product validation (environmental testing, shock/drop, etc.)
