Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and friendly Tractor Operator to conduct educational wagon rides and fun train rides for guests around our farm. The ideal candidate will have experience operating farm equipment, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for agriculture and education. This role involves interacting with guests of all ages, assisting guests with questions, loading and unloading the rides, and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all visitors. Additionally, the operator will be responsible for playing an educational recording for visitors to listen to during a wagon ride.

Responsibilities:
- Operate a farm tractor and attached wagon or train cars safely and proficiently.
- Engage with guests, answering questions and ensuring a friendly and informative experience.
- Perform pre- and post-ride safety checks on the tractor, wagons, and train cars to ensure all equipment is in good working order.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for guests by adhering to safety standards and protocols.
- Assist with boarding and disembarking of guests, ensuring all safety measures are followed.
- Work closely with other team members to coordinate rides and manage scheduling.
- Report any equipment issues or safety concerns to management promptly.
- Assist with farm tasks and events as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating farm machinery, specifically tractors, or other similar heavy equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to convey information in an engaging and clear manner.
- Comfortable working with and speaking to groups of various sizes and ages.
- Basic knowledge of farming practices and agricultural education.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work various shifts, including weekends.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time and Part-time opportunities
Required Shifts:
Full-time requires employee to work Wednesday 9:00 am-1:00 pm, and Thursday through Sunday from 10:00 am-5:00pm.
Part-time requires employee to work Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am-5:00pm.
