SUMMARY: The Event Operations Manager manages a staff of Events Hosts who ensure that all event clients and guests are extremely satisfied with all aspects of their event. The Event Operations Manager will work closely with both the sales and operations teams to create a seamless guest experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following.
- Hosts special events
- Oversees setup of all tables, areas and supplies
- Creates a personal connection with the event contact, while ensuring that all of their guest needs are exceeded
- Diligently maintains a clean and organized work area
- Promotes a customer focused approach to event hosting
- Uses client database to forecast events to create event staff schedule
- Ensures completion of all event reporting
- Uses guest feedback reports to improve guest satisfaction
- Counsels and discipline staff as appropriate by following established human resources standards, policies and programs
- Timely and accurately completes of all administrative tasks
- Ability to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays, as well as, extended workdays to support business needs.
- Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Event Operations Manager manages a staff of Events Hosts who ensure that all event clients and guests are extremely satisfied with all aspects of their event. QUALIFICATIONS: The Event Operations Managerpossess a highly developed sense of customer service and interpersonal skills including high integrity, respect for all individuals (customers, vendors, and employees), solid communication skills, strong critical and analytical thinking skills, and appreciation of diversity (thought, ethnic, gender, etc.). Thorough working knowledge of POS register systems; experience utilizing word-processing, spreadsheets, inventory, internet and related PC based systems. Basic business math and accounting skills, and strong analytical/decision-making skills. The Event Operations Manager must be a strong team player and people developer, possess a high level of profit and loss capability, and sales and marketing skills and abilities.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of one year managing people. Knowledge of food and beverage/hospitality industry. Broad knowledge and experience in event planning and execution. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and database software preferred. Relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/ PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Bowling center environment where you will walk, bend and stand for periods of time, and may lift objects with some assistance. The noise level is typical for bowling.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
