Job Summary: Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of Front of House. This includes managing the guest experience, leading a team, ensuring smooth service delivery, and maintaining operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure high standards of customer service and satisfaction
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and concerns promptly and professionally
- Create a welcoming atmosphere for guests and ensure all front-of-house operations support a high-quality experience
- Delegate tasks and ensure team members are performing duties effectively
- Promote Smooth shift transitions
- Supervise staff during service, making sure all operations run smoothly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations
- Assist in managing front-of-house inventory, cleaning supplies, and guest-facing materials
- Monitor stock levels of front-of-house supplies (e.g., napkins, menus) and coordinate with management for replenishment
- Act as a liaison between front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure effective communication and service delivery
- Handle cash, process payments, and manage cash register or POS systems during shifts
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in supervisory role within the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety, health regulations, and customer service best practices
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
