Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness and maintenance across various facilities, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in commercial and residential settings.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, hallways, and other common areas.
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards.
- Operate floor care equipment for buffing and polishing floors to maintain their appearance.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and upkeep of building systems.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow safety protocols while performing duties to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
Skills
- Experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work is preferred.
- Familiarity with porter duties and industrial cleaning practices is a plus.
- Proficient in floor care techniques including buffing and polishing.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance tasks such as painting or minor repairs is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
