Responsibilities / Position overview

Our market research US Insights Team are seeking an experienced qualitative Research Manager (Account Manager internal title) to join their bespoke qualitative market research team.

 

This position involves owning and leading project deliverables for effective research project management. The responsibilities include independently conducting research activities to drive innovation, building client relationships for business generation, leading and coaching direct reports, and acting as a valued internal resource within Lumanity, aiming to become a role model. 

 

The core competencies for the position of quantitative research manager include but are not limited to:

  • To own and lead project deliverables to ensure effective management and implementation of research projects by overseeing development of key project deliverables and routine tasks, maintaining significant client contact, lead development of client presentations and by taking responsibility for running projects within budget.
  • To independently conduct research activities to help drive innovation and improve client satisfaction by starting to lead design, moderating focus groups, fieldwork, analysis, interpretation and writing of research projects, coach others in the design of research materials and presentations and by producing client ready versions of research materials and presentations.
  • To build close personal client relationships to help generate business and drive growth by identifying business opportunities to start to build close/personal client relationships with 2-4 clients and by starting to conduct new business development activities by initiating meetings and writing marketing reports.
  • To lead direct reports, ensure effective teamwork and coach colleagues by providing support and development to colleagues, conducting appraisals, provide feedback and on the job coaching to ensure ongoing development.

Act as a valued internal resource to Lumanity by starting to become a role model. Provide support, actively implement, and seek to develop company practices, shows appropriate enthusiasm, drive, and responsibility for tasks.

 

This position is remote with occassional team get togethers and client meetings. You are welcome to utilise and work from any of our Lumanity US offices.

Qualifications

  • Strong Degree (2:1) in any subject and/or professional qualification preferable
  • 4-7 years’ experience in research or professional services organisation
  • 4 years’ experience in research-based project support role
  • 2-3 years healthcare sector experience is preferable but not essential 
  • At least half the above time should have been spent working on qualitative research projects 
  • Have strong numerical skills 
  • All around technical ability and broad knowledge of marketing research methods and approaches
  • Ability to produce “client ready” qualitative interview materials and presentations
  • Proven results in project management
  • Ability to produce “client ready” interview materials and presentations 
  • Computer proficient – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
