Facility Maintenance Technician

Job Purpose

A Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping a facility operating by repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. They are required to have the knowledge and ability to perform a wide range of tasks around the facility. Some of the maintenance tasks that come up are.

Essential Functions

A Maintenance Technician is also responsible for recording maintenance logs on equipment and recording preventative maintenance intervals. It is expected that a Maintenance Technician is a self-motivated individual with interpersonal skills to interact with employees of the building in a pleasant manner. And attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked

Essential Function

Performing routine maintenance around the buildings such as repairing drywall, door frames and flooring. Repairing leaking or broken plumbing, Fertigation system, Reverse Osmosis system and all other liquid systems in the facility. Modifying existing utilities to accommodate the installation of new equipment, Completing start up and maintenance scheduling for the new added asset. Troubleshooting lighting and electrical issues. Having the ability to navigate computer-based building systems such as Trane Building automation system, Computerized maintenance management system, and Computer based controls thru out the facility. The use of a specialty skill you may posses. Welding, Sheetmetal work, or Fabrication.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: 2-3 years experience

Other Requirements:

• Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems.

• Electrical wiring capabilities to manage electrical issues.

• Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs of the building.

• Familiar with hand tools and tools of specific trades.

• Any trade specific training either certified or years of experience.

Working Conditions

This job is performed in a fast paced enviroment where attention to detail is critical and fruently requires the lifting/moving of items up to 50lbs. Based on the type of extraction being performed, this position entails working with presurized (or unpresurized) flamable solvents (liquids or gases) in crontrolled areas. This position requires 40 hours a week and does not require any travel
