Job Title: Server Administrator

<>Job Overview:

We are seeking a Server Administrator to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficiency of organizational information systems. This role involves monitoring, supporting, and optimizing networked software and operating systems while assisting in system architecture, disaster recovery planning, and system integration efforts.

<>Key Responsibilities:

• System Administration & Maintenance (40%)

  • Install, tune, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain computer systems.
  • Manage operating system administration, user accounts, and network configurations.
  • Implement disaster recovery strategies.

• System Monitoring & Troubleshooting (25%)

  • Develop and implement techniques to prevent system failures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents while supporting root cause analysis.

• Automation & Configuration (15%)

  • Automate application installation and configuration in development and production environments.

• System Evaluation & Integration (10%)

  • Conduct in-depth testing of new systems, including end-user reviews.
  • Research and recommend software and hardware solutions.
  • Identify and resolve system integration challenges.

• Continuous Learning & Development (10%)

  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and networking.

<>Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • In lieu of a degree, 4 additional years of relevant experience required.

• Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software, hardware, and/or systems engineering.

<>Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of programming languages and web-based technologies (Advanced).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Advanced).
• Strong collaboration skills for solving technical problems across teams (Advanced).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Advanced).
• ITIL Foundations v3 certification (preferred, required within 180 days).

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
