The Role
The Manager Warehouse Operations Federal manages company warehouse operations housing both company and government customer owned equipment. Manager must have an advanced working knowledge of the FAR and customer requirements, both internal and external. This position is responsible for developing and implementing processes and procedures that ensure warehouse operations meet the needs of all customers while maintaining the requirements of the Property Management Plan.
The Main Responsibilities
- Ensures database and paperwork are maintained and accurate for receiving, shipping, and inventory.
- Ensure FAR regulations and requirements of the Property Management Plan are adhered to for handling any government property in the facility.
- Responds to inquiries from project managers, engineers, vendors, techs, and management regarding warehouse operations and inventory.
- Manages warehouse personnel by ensuring set productivity targets are met.
- Maintains standards of health, safety and security in the warehouse work environment.
- Trains personnel on shipping, receiving, tracking, documenting and fork lifting.
- Provides reports to various internal customers and departments.
- Provides required information for proposals; ensures timely responses to proposal team.
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to take a teamwork approach to the job by cooperating with others, offering to help others when needed, and considering larger organization or team goals rather than individual concerns. Includes the ability to build a constructive team spirit where team members are committed to the goals and objectives
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Good physical condition – capable of standing all day and able to lift 50 pounds
- Some travel may be required
- Advanced working knowledge of the FAR
- Prior experience in using SAP system
What We Look For in a Candidate
- High School Education
- Minimum six years experience in logistics supporting federal contracts
- Experience in managing warehouse personnel
- Security Requirements:
- US Citizenship required
- Active TS/SCI with Poly preferred
- Must maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information (applicants selected will be subject to a government security re-investigation)
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$114,082 - $152,109 in these states: VA
