Are you looking for a new role to kick-start 2025? I'm currently recruiting for an exciting Modeling & Simulation Engineer to join a Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturing start-up based in the Bay Area.

Responsibilities

  • Perform steady-state and transient simulations for flow and thermal processes across a range of systems, including single-wafer multi-station HVM Thermal ALD, Thermal LPCVD, Plasma Enhanced ALD, Plasma Enhanced CVD, and large / mini-batch Thermal ALD platforms.
  • Utilize electromagnetic simulation tools to design and optimize RF coils for use in Plasma Chambers.
  • Conduct simulations to analyze flow, thermal, and plasma dynamics, driving improvements in plasma performance and chamber efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in using CFD and FEA tools, including Ansys Fluent, Ansys CFX, Comsol Multiphysics, or other similar commercial software.
  • Research experience in computational physics, computational fluid dynamics, or computational chemistry.
  • Skilled in modeling and simulating complex physical systems.
  • Specialized knowledge in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and gas-surface reactions.
  • Proven experience in modeling and simulating semiconductor processing and equipment.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD modeling using tools such as NX, SOLIDWORKS, or ANSYS SpaceClaim.
  • Strong skills in data analysis and interpretation.
