What are the responsibilities and job description for the Planner position at Lumicity?
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Relationships: Ensure on-time delivery through regular communication about orders, production status, shortages, and shipping. Manage Work Orders promptly.
- Order Management: Enter Sales and Work Orders accurately and on time.
- Production Scheduling: Prioritize Work Orders to optimize labor and meet customer delivery deadlines.
- Supplier Coordination: Work with LSO Purchasing and suppliers to ensure parts availability for production.
- Capacity Planning: Perform capacity analysis for staffing and work center management.
- Project Updates: Consult with department supervisors on project and Work Order status.
- Material Planning: Use MRP and Reorder Reports to assess material needs.
- Team Coordination: Ensure smooth material flow across Warehouse, QC, and Production to meet delivery timelines.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience: 3 years in planning, purchasing, and scheduling in manufacturing. Experience with ERP systems, MRP, JIT, and TQM is required.
- Education: 4-year degree or equivalent preferred. Proficiency in Word and Excel is a must.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to identify and implement improvements.
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
