A leading general contractor specializing in large-scale data center construction is seeking a Travel MEP Superintendent to oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) operations across multiple mission-critical projects. This role requires deep expertise in MEP systems, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage projects in various locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all MEP aspects of large-scale data center projects, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
- Supervise and coordinate MEP subcontractors, ensuring seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, traveling as needed to support field operations.
- Utilize construction management software like Procore and scheduling tools such as P6 (Primavera) to track project progress.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, quality control measures, and client specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and owners to drive project success and resolve technical challenges.
- Provide mentorship to junior staff, fostering professional development and knowledge-sharing.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in MEP construction, preferably within mission-critical environments.
- Extensive knowledge of MEP systems, with a strong preference for candidates with an electrical background.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to a travel-based role.
- Experience working with large general contractors on complex, high-budget projects.
- Proficiency in construction scheduling software (P6, MS Project) and project management platforms (Procore, PlanGrid, or similar).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification or equivalent safety training is preferred.
