Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, client-focused Psychiatric Social Worker to join our team at our Cambridge location (50 Church Street). In this in-person role, you will enhance the client experience before, during, and after ketamine and esketamine treatments, ensuring a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment.
You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Psychiatrists, to deliver high-quality care at the forefront of psychiatric practice.
This is a full-time, salaried role (40 hours per week).
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a welcoming and supportive experience throughout their treatment journey.
- Conduct preliminary check-ins with clients, addressing well-being and risk concerns while assisting with necessary forms and questionnaires.
- Monitor and observe clients undergoing ketamine and esketamine treatments, providing reassurance and advocacy.
- Facilitate discussions around safety and risk, ensuring a secure and informed treatment process.
- Provide clients with educational materials and resources to support their treatment and recovery.
- Offer brief psychotherapeutic engagements to enhance the client’s therapeutic experience.
- Coordinate with external medical providers as needed and recommend alternative resources when appropriate.
- Contribute feedback and insights to enhance Lumin Health’s approach to client care and treatment efficiency.
- Bring a warm, empathetic, and psychotherapeutically informed approach to every client interaction.
Qualifications:
- LICSW or LMHC credentialing preferred, but not required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (can be obtained as part of onboarding).
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and proficiency in computer use.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations and respond quickly and appropriately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively within a team.
