We are currently looking for an experienced Traffic Signal Foreman to join our team in Ashland, VA. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Drives construction equipment to and from job sites, loads and unloads equipment from trucks and/or trailers.
• Inspects equipment, performs preventive maintenance, and reports needed repairs.
• Makes operating adjustments and minor repairs to equipment such as changing buckets and teeth and tightening loose bolts and fittings.
• Follow requirements for utility locates and permits.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
• Communications with customers and other contractors.
• Responsible for maintaining and renewing required certifications and licenses.
• Provide their own transportation to and from work and/or be responsible for company assigned vehicle if provided and typically report to work at the job site. 
• Wear steel toe work boots when working on a construction site.
• Wear Safety Vest and Hard Hat when on a job site.
• Use proper PPE as required. 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:  

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be proficient with basic hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to perform heavy physical work, often under adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to follow and transmit clear written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
• Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with others.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, and TRAINING:  

• Must possess and maintain valid commercial driver’s license (CDL class A) and DOT Medical Examiners Certification
• Must be insurable.  

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to work at heights over 15 feet.
• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds. 
• Must be willing to work Off Hours in Emergency response work
• Must be willing to work out of town on occasion

COMPENSATION: 

This is a “Full Time” hourly position with the opportunity to advance. Pay range is between $26.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on previous experience. The following benefits are included on the 1st day of the month following your date of hire:
