Procurement Manager
Daily Duties
- Inventory, warehouse management.
- Works directly with DOC’s, Project Managers and Superintendents to maintain daily commodities in inventory.
- Negotiates costs on commodities with suppliers
- Tracks and stays on top of cost trends and in communication with suppliers of possible increases and decreases in pricing.
- Supplier communication (negotiating, quotes review, material release and MBE commitments)
- Manage all PO’s. (All purchases must have a PO)
- Issues PO’s to Subcontractors
- Manages tool purchases and negotiating (Project Manager Approval)
- Works directly with Fleet Manager on parts purchases.
- Verify the receiving of materials, matches PO and tracks down any variances.
- Works directly with Accounts Payable to verify costs on invoice match the PO issued.
- Job sheets for suppliers.
- Works with DOC’s and Project Managers on monthly close of jobs to verify no open commitments or costs remaining on jobs. (Open PO’s or Subcontracts open that have not been Invoiced)
Must Have
Knowledge of Traffic Signal/ Street Lighting Materials

- Ability to communicate with all levels of management
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to work from office daily.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Able to travel as needed.
