JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team and help strengthen our internal processes and financial operations. The ideal candidate will assist with a variety of accounting tasks to ensure the efficient and accurate operation of our accounting department. This position requires a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accuracy while meeting deadlines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Posting Bank entries and performing Bank Reconciliations

·       Perform Accounts Receivables Reconciliations

·       Support in preparing payments for approved invoices in a timely manner.

·       Interfaces with appropriate departments to secure proper payment approvals and vendors to resolve discrepancies.

·       Maintains accounting department files and records; prepares 1099s.

·       Prepare analysis of balance sheet accounts as required.

·       Assists with monthly closings, ensures accurate entry of accrued expenses and bank statement reconciliation in a timely manner to meet the Company’s deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

·       Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

·       Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in retail or similar industries.

·       Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.

·       Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.

·       Responsible and good work ethic

·       Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.

·       Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

·       Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.

·       Be able to read, write, and speak Italian proficiently

·       Experience with inventory and retail accounting.

·       Prior exposure to ERP implementation or process optimization.
